Shake Shack, I'd say one of the best burgers in the world. But can you really make one of these mouthwateringly-delicious burgers at home? I think so.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces medium fat ground beef
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 Potato Sandwich Buns
- 4 tablespoons Shack Sauce (recipe follows)
- 4 leaves of green-leaf lettuce
- 8 slices ripe plum tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil (or Olive oil)
- Kosher salt and ground black pepper
- 4 slices American cheese
- Worcestershire sauce for cooking (optional)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 4 slices kosher dill pickle
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch cayenne pepper
Directions
- Form the meat into 2" by 2" burger patties
- Brush the buns with a little butter and place into the toaster until desired crispiness
- Spread some sauce onto the insides of the bun
- Oil a skillet and season the burgers with salt and pepper and Worcestershire (if desired)
- Cook the burgers until the outside has become brown (around 3 minutes)
- Flip the burgers and melt the American cheese on top
- Put the burgers on the buns and top with lettuce and tomatoes
- Enjoy.
